TALKING PHOTOS
With the Internet there are so many things you can do.....chat online, play games, meet new people, search for information, share photos, create a blog, and so on and so on. While surfing on the Internet, I have discovered some cool websites.
I would like to share with you one of those cool websites. It is called fotobabble.com. It's a website where you can upload your photos with the feature of recording your voice. Hence, a talking photo. You can share these photos with your family and friends, post them on a blog and even on Facebook.
To be able to do this, you must sign up for an account. It's very easy and it's free! First, go to fotobabble.com. Then click on SIGN UP. Enter a USERNAME, PASSWORD, EMAIL, CODE. Then click on sign up. If the username is already being used, you must change it. Photos you upload cannot be from the Internet. You should be the owner of the photo being used.
Once you sign up, then you must SIGN IN. Enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Now you're ready to create your fotobabble. Click on CREATE A FOTOBABBLE. Upload a photo from your computer or Facebook account. Then click on CREATE. Under the photo you will see RECORD and PLAY. On the photo a box will appear which says ALLOW or DENY. Click on ALLOW. Then click RECORD. Say what you're going to say and then click STOP. To hear what was recorded click PLAY. If you want to make any changes you must click RECORD again and repeat what you want to say. Also include a title for your photo.
For the class, create 2 fotobabbles of 2 tourist attractions in Puerto Rico. Include a minimum of 5 sentences. Present it to the class on Oct. 17.
Here are a few examples I created. Listen and then comment on each place.
TASKS:
1. Create TWO talking photos of two different tourist attractions in Puerto Rico. Minimum 5 sentences. Do NOT say your name. Just talk about the place. Upload as a NEW POST. Make sure you are in EDIT HTML mode. Copy from fotobabble the code under EMBED THIS FOTOBABBLE. Each photo will be presented on Oct. 17
2. Comment on the three talking photos I created.
