With the Internet there are so many things you can do.....chat online, play games, meet new people, search for information, share photos, create a blog, and so on and so on. While surfing on the Internet, I have discovered some cool websites.
I would like to share with you one of those cool websites. It is called fotobabble.com. It's a website where you can upload your photos with the feature of recording your voice. Hence, a talking photo. You can share these photos with your family and friends, post them on a blog and even on Facebook.
To be able to do this, you must sign up for an account. It's very easy and it's free! First, go to fotobabble.com. Then click on SIGN UP. Enter a USERNAME, PASSWORD, EMAIL, CODE. Then click on sign up. If the username is already being used, you must change it. Photos you upload cannot be from the Internet. You should be the owner of the photo being used.
Once you sign up, then you must SIGN IN. Enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Now you're ready to create your fotobabble. Click on CREATE A FOTOBABBLE. Upload a photo from your computer or Facebook account. Then click on CREATE. Under the photo you will see RECORD and PLAY. On the photo a box will appear which says ALLOW or DENY. Click on ALLOW. Then click RECORD. Say what you're going to say and then click STOP. To hear what was recorded click PLAY. If you want to make any changes you must click RECORD again and repeat what you want to say. Also include a title for your photo.
For the class, create 2 fotobabbles of 2 tourist attractions in Puerto Rico. Include a minimum of 5 sentences. Present it to the class on Oct. 17.

TORO VERDE NATURE PARK IN OROCOVIS
I really enjoy touring the island. One of my New Year's resolution of 2011 is to visit all 78 towns of Puerto Rico even if I have been there before. I have a map at home of the island and once I visit the town, I color it in so I have an idea of which towns I still need to visit. Of course, my camera has to accompany me. I take pictures of the town square, the city hall, the Catholic cathedral, and other tourist attractions.
I also like to do the adventure tours. I have gone ziplining in Orocovis and four tracking in Luquillo. Here I will share some pictures of my adventure tour in Toro Verde Nature Park located in Orocovis. If you like extreme sports and feeling the adrenaline rush, then this is a place for you. Enjoy the photos. Then answer the questions that follow.
Task: Answer the questions below. Copy the question and then respond. Double space between each response.
1. Have you ever been to Toro Verde?
2. Would you go ziplining, cross the hanging bridges and/or go on the beast? Why or why not?
3. Make a comment about one of the photos.
4. What place in Puerto Rico would you recommend for an adventure tour?
5. Ask me a question about my experience at Toro Verde.

WELCOME TO BLOGGING
Hi! Welcome to English 3001. As part of the English class, we will be working on blogs. This will help you to practice your English in a different, and hopefully, a fun way. You will be required to comment on my blog entries. This will make up 20% of your final grade.
Points will be given for your effort. No points will be deducted for errors. However, points will be deducted for incomplete work, late entries or work not done by you. Remember, this is just another way to practice English so do the entry by yourself.
At the end of each blog, a due date will be posted. Each blog is worth 15 points. If the entry is late (up to 3 days), you will lose 5 points. Entries posted later than 3 days will NOT be counted.
Hope you enjoy this experience.
